Hello! My name is Jazlyn Reitz. I live in Chadron, Nebraska on a ranch that my husband of 9 months and I bought two years ago. We share 441 beautiful acres with our two dogs, Max and Bentley, 4o head of cattle, 3 horses, and a few pigs every summer. If everything goes as planned, I will graduate with an Elementary Education degree from Chadron State College in December of 2019. I am excited to complete my education and to take on the next chapter of my life.
My parents met at BYU Hawaii and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. They moved back to my fathers homestead in Samoa, which is just south of the Hawaiian Islands. There they had my older brother while they taught and coached at the schools. Three years later they moved to Greeley, Colorado and had three more daughters. Going into my 1st grade year they packed us all up and moved to Chadron, Nebraska. Twelve years later I graduated high school and they packed up again and moved back to Colorado. My brother moved to Hawaii, my sisters went to Colorado, and I stayed in Nebraska.
I love spending time with now both sides of my family and close friends. I crave spending time at the lake in sun and on the water. I love reading, baking, riding horses, and traveling. In the past 9 months I have managed to go to Hawaii, Jamaica, and Costa Rica. As excited as I was to check those places off my list, I am afraid it only keeps growing instead of shrinking. I will do anything for the people I love and I am excited to apply that to my students.
